Simple porous lattices for standardized cell testing
A set of lattices or tissue engineering scaffolds, designed for 3D printability employing most additive manufacturing technologies used in healthcare, is provided. The four models provided help to study the influence of porosity on cell viability and its effects on access to nutrients, elimination of debris, difussion effects, among others. The porosity variation also affects mechanical properties and their manufacturing using different technologies and materials can add relevant variables to any study on tissue repair and regeneration developed with the provided set.
